Background

The year is 11,000 AD - 1000 years after the collapse of the United World Council (UWC). The UWC governed the universe, keeping it safe for all species. Alliances and agreements were made to keep peace and harmony in the universe. Forces from many systems would stand together to maintain peace and ensure all enjoyed the mutual benefits. Then, the universe was comprised of empires from all known races. Conflicts were minor and were settled diplomatically.

Everything was perfect...
Ripples in the Universe's tranquility were being felt. Empires, in which the greed for power and wealth overcame their peaceful nature, began to attack their weaker neighbours. All attempts at diplomacy failed. The UWC's multi-specied fleets were left with no choice but to force these rogue empires to the outer regions of the universe. Furious about their enforced isolation these empires plotted their revenge. They realised that universal peace had all but ended the need to strengthen system's defenses. They researched and developed new and improved attacking fleets, then joined in battle to overthrow the United World Council. Their War Ministers had better battle strategies and their Generals formed suicide fleets to decimate any opposition. After series of bloody conflicts, they managed to assassinate all the UWC leaders and threatened to do the same to any new alliance.
Without proper governance, all intelligent species in the universe slowly became enslaved by greed and lust for power and it materialized into constant struggles between various empires exploding into an all out war. Even peace loving empires were forced to go into battle to ensure survival.

Now, all await the Ultimate Empire to come forward in an attempt to unify the shattered empires throughout the universe. To ensure peace returns to the galaxies, one empire must now emerge master of all others.
