Alien Races All players start off the game with the Terran race. The option to play as the other alien races becomes available after you have completed the 'First Act', which is a tutorial on how to play the game. There are several different types of alien races in this game, each with its own different style and method of playing. For example, the Terrans earn money through Commerce while the Aspha Miner players earn credits from Mining and then selling Minerals. The various alien races play an important role in maintaining the circle of planets and economy in the game. For instance, people who play as the Aspha Miner Race are the main source of Minerals in the In-Game Mineral Market, and without them, most minerals will be in short supply.
